Dealing with a medical emergency

As soon as you discover a person with
injuries or a medical condition give all assistance possible and follow this
procedure:
- contact ‘000’ and request an ambulance
- give control as much information about the condition of
the person as possible including:
- whether the
person is conscious
- whether they are
breathing normally
- whether they
have visible injuries
- the exact
location
- the nature and
cause of the injuries.
- Once you have called for assistance give whatever first
aid you can to the injured and await the arrival of the ambulance.
- Never leave
injured people unattended.
