Supportive workplace for Aboriginal employees

ACRO Refrigeration seeks to establish partnerships with its Aboriginal employees.  At ACRO, we:
  1. Take time to get an Aboriginal employee's perspective on their current work situation through informal chats.
  2. Discuss training and development opportunities that may be available.
  3. Ensure training is practical and relevant to the job.
  4. Are fair when assigning significant responsibilities or applying appropriate standards of accountability to Aboriginal employees.
  5. Show interest in the work and give praise for a job well done.
  6. Consider ways that significant individual and team successes can be celebrated.
  7. Provide a workplace buddy or mentor, particularly for the first 6 to 12 months.
